.黃家古厝：
菁寮村(菁寮)39號對面，黃宅古厝位在菁寮村，一般人稱做西洋樓仔，為一座融合傳統與西洋風格的建築物。起造人為黃爐及黃水順(首屆庄長)兄弟，黃宅立面屬二落正身五間起，兩側對稱。正面有雙柱式造形及洗石子的山形牆，牆額上有雙排文字，上為黃氏堂號「紫雲荔園衍派」，下「AD1928」為西年的建築時間，「JD2588」是日皇年代(昭和3年)，而「Shinj Yun Kow.」係黃氏店號「黃振順」(日本音拼音)之意。兩側間則都是八角凸出式廳堂，側間正面也作山形牆，後側則是形式較簡約的欄杆。屋之後面亦作山牆形，其左上書寫黃姓祖籍「江夏」，右上書寫黃氏店號「振順」，文字旁並有藻飾。黃宅建築耗資當時20甲 農地的經濟價值興建，主體建築面積有300坪 。前後院亦相當寬敞。

The old house of Huang family is sited in Jingliao village, it is normally called “Xi Yang Lou Zai”, which means “Hall of Xi Yang”. This building was designed with the combination of traditional Taiwanese and Western style. It was founded by The Huang brothers, Mr.Huang Lu and Mr.Huang Shui Shun. The old house of Huang family has been equally divided into 2 zones, with more than 5 rooms. In front of building, there are 2 pillars and pediment made of polished stone. On the wall, there are 2 lines of scripts, the top line is “Zi Yun Li Yuan Yan Pai”, the low line is “AD 1928”, which is the year that this building was completed construction, “JD 2588” is Japanese year 2588 (It is Showa year 3 in Japan), and the script “Shinj Yun Kow” is the name of Mr.Huang Zhen Shun in Xia Men phonetics writing. Both sides of building was designed in protruding octagonal shape, and the roof was created in pediment shape. At the back of the building, there is plain railing design. The back hall was also constructed in pediment shape, at the left side of the hall, there is scripts “Huang Xing Zu Ji (Jiang Xia)”, the right hand side, it has been sculpted the scripts “Huang Shi Dian Hao (Zhen Shun)”, the scripts of both side has the graceful engraving. The old house of Huang family was expensed 20 Jia for the construction (Jia is the ancient money), so it is valuable land in that period. The building has altogether 990 square meters (1 Ping = 3.3 square meters), and there are large square at the front and the back of the building.
